Films and TV Productions Based on Poe Writings

So, yeah here it is, late as usual. And far from complete. But it has to start somewhere, right?

Okay, we gotta TELL ya, this is the TALE of a man with angst oozing out of his HEART: Edgar Allan Poe.

Take some time to go through this list of films. We've seen many of them. There are many we would love to see. Our quest to see every one of these films (if the film still exists for public consumption) has been going on for quite some time.

The Master's story "THE TELL-TALE HEART" has to be the most filmed story of all time. Peruse the following list and you'll see what I mean. All in all, Poe is one of the most filmed writers of all time. There's a good reason for that: genius. In all its glory.

FILMS THAT FEATURE ELEMENTS OF POE

This section is dedicated to films that aren't necessarily based on Poe stories, but they do have elements of Poe in them. However strangely depicted. Heh Heh!

MANIAC (1933). This low budget weirdo movie (we do love it!!) has a few Poe elements scattered throughout it. Hey, this movie is worth watching because it's so bad. We regualarly pipe it into the Inmates' cells.
